New time-table of BDZ trains as of Sunday

A new time-table of the Bulgarian State Railways’ (BDZ) trains is in force as of Sunday, December 9. The new transport schedule includes additional trains to various destinations in the country.

In 2013, the national railroad operator will preserve the volume of transportation at the level of 2012. Transportation of passengers will be carried out on a total of 510 trains, including 10 international fast trains, 77 fast trains (eight of these with mandatory booking of seats), 135 passenger trains and 288 suburban trains.

The changes in the time-table of trains concern different railway sections of the country. Some of these are in compliance with the suggestions and requests by customers, regional and municipal governments, received during the year, and others are related to increasing the profitability of transportation and efficient use of the existing rolling stock, as well as BDZ’s trade policy at a time of crisis. The new schedule of trains has not deprived any railway sections of train transport.
