Most Bulgarian teachers are middle-aged or elderly: survey

 Most Bulgarian teachers complain that their pupils are late for class. 10% of the Bulgarian teachers work in schools, where 60% of the children come from poor families. 18.2% of the teachers teach in schools, where Bulgarian is not a mother language for 60% of the children. Moreover, most Bulgarian teachers are middle-aged or elderly. 5.8% of them are aged 60 or above, 40.9% are aged between 50 and 59 and 31.5% are aged between 40 and 49. Most young Bulgarians do not want to become teachers, TALIS international survey shows. According to the survey, 94% of the Bulgarian teachers are satisfied with their profession.
