‘Bulgarian Louvre’ to be opened free of charge on Thursday

The new National Gallery Square 500 in the Bulgarian capital city Sofia, also known as the Bulgarian Louvre, will be opened free of charge of Thursday, September 13.

Citizens and guests of Sofia will have the chance to see nearly 2,000 pieces of arts, placed in 28 halls in the four-storey gallery, for free. The visitors can see the prominent symbolic painting Lucifer by Franz Stuck (1863–1928).

The gallery is open for free every second Thursday of the month.

The new National Gallery Square 500 in the Bulgarian capital city Sofia, also known as the Bulgarian Louvre, was officially inaugurated and opened for visitors in May. Square 500 gathers a great variety of different styles, eras and arts, both Bulgarian and foreign.
