“We want to place stationary cameras at all places where there is concentrated number of road accidents, this is the proper way to exert efficient control,” said Commissioner Boyko Ranovski, head of the Traffic Police Department with the General Directorate of National Police, speaking for Nova TV.

“So far in 2015 we have registered 33 more casualties in road accidents compared with the same time period last year. The efforts we make are to our utmost limits. We are exerting efficient control,” Mr Rankovski said.

The expert explained that a single traffic police team serviced an entire district in a five-hour shift.

“Can you imagine a single team servicing an entire distrust like Vidin or Dobrich? And when a road accident occurs the team is commissioned to the scene, while during that time there is no other control,” the commissioner remarked.
