“[It is] recognition for Bulgaria as we are on the map of world tourism and the voting of the 156 UNWTO member states for Bulgaria means it is significant,” said Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova, Bulgarian Minister of Tourism, speaking for FOCUS News Agency in a comment on Bulgaria’s being elected Vice President of the 21th General Assembly of the UNWTO.

“This is a highly prestigious post for this event is the biggest and most important for tourism globally,” Minister Angelkova commented.

“Every two years, the goals and vision all UNWTO countries will pursue as regards the development of the tourism industry are set at each General Assembly event,” the official remarked.
