“Ivan Totev will be re-elected Mayor of [the second-biggest city] Plovdiv as he has done more than all his predecessors did in 25 years,” said Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Deputy Chairperson of mandate-holder Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) and Chairperson of the CEDB national election campaign office, speaking Friday for Nova TV.

According to him, Totev deserves to be re-elected as he made Plovdiv European Capital of Culture 2019, has realised infrastructural projects, and due to what has been done in downtown Plovdiv and the city’s residential districts.

“I think such mayors should have a credit of confidence and the society is content with what has been done,” Tsvetanov added.
