Heavy traffic expected on last day of long weekend

Due to the expected increased traffic on Tuesday, Bulgaria’s Traffic Police urge to plan their trips on time and strictly observe traffic rules. The Border Police has advised all Bulgarians returning from a vacation from Greece to use not only the main checkpoints at Kulata and Makaza but also alternative border crossings at Illinden,Captain Petko Voivoda and Ivaylovgrad. There will be increased police presence and control of the main roads and key locations in the country.

The warnings come after serious traffic jams on the road to Greece on the first day of the 4-day break.
