Bank fees to be compared more easily

Citizens and companies from EU member states will be able to compare fees charged by all banks in the bloc more easily. Information about fees will be uploaded in a special website, pursuant to the EU Directive on the comparability of fees related to payment accounts, payment account switching and access to payment accounts with basic features. The directive will be transposed into Bulgarian legislation, too. BNB and the Association of Banks in Bulgaria have drawn up a list of the most common fees in various banks and have submitted the list to the European Commission. The purpose of this is to protect clients of payment services to the maximum and helping them make an informed choice.
