Divers Arranged Underwater Exhibition in Bulgaria's Primorsko

Divers from the Bulgarian town of Primorsko have arranged copies of paintings by Leonardo da Vinci at the bottom of the Black Sea.

Copies of the “The Last Supper” and “Mona Lisa” are the first paintings in the underwater exhibition.

The paintings are waterproof and fishes can be seen swimming around them, private bTV station informs.

The exhibition is arranged at a depth of eight metres and a special diving equipment is needed in order to see it.

The paintings were arranged by the local diving club Poseidon on the occasion of the 107th anniversary of Bulgarian independence, which is celebrated on Tuesday.

The exhibition is located in an immediate proximity to the only underwater chapel in Europe.

The organisers are planning a second exhibition, which will be arranged around the feast day of Saint Nicholas.

Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors and fishermen and his feast day is observed in Bulgaria on December 6.
