“Today Bulgaria is free, united and independent through the will of its citizens,” said Chairperson of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva on Bulgaria's Independence day marked on September 22, the press office of the Bulgarian parliament announced.

“It is up to us to place the country where the constructors of modern Bulgaria wanted it to be. The image of Europe and Bulgaria in the next years is our common responsibility.

Let us share the love to the motherland to the next generations, as well as the power of our civil dignity,” Ms Tsacheva remarked.

“Bulgaria guarantees its independence and prosperity through adequate and sovereign participation in the process of establishment of modern United Europe,” she said further.
