Grey economy share over 30% in Bulgaria: Domuschiev

“Share of the grey economy in our country stands at over 30%,” said Kiril Domuschiev, President of the Confederation and Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB), speaking at a round table in the frames of the “Bringing business to light for a better future” national campaign.

The campaign is organised by KRIB and the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria (CITUB).

“We certainly take the first places in the EU,” Kiril Domuschiev noted.

In his words, this is a very bad figure and is confirmed by official analyses of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Domuschiev remarked after the campaign and all offered recommendations he hoped the executive and legislative powers would pass amendments to reduce the share of the informal sector over the next years.
