October 25 vote to show isolation of Bulgaria’s MRF didn’t succeed: Mestan
“Vote on October 25 will show the isolation of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) did not succeed,” said Lyutvi Mestan, leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) and Chairperson of the formation’s central election campaign office, speaking at the official opening of the MRF’s local election campaign in Isperih, district of Razgrad.
Mr Mestan was explicit the MRF’s victory did not come down to a number of won seats of mayors and municipal councillors .
The MRF believes the more important result of the October 25 vote has a different essence.
“The attempt at isolating the MRF from the political life of the country ended in a failure. An important stage of MRF’s strategic re-positioning as the liberal party needed by Bulgaria will be realised on October 25, [which] is an important guarantee for the European development of the country,” the MRF chair noted.
He added the MRF could not be isolated as the strength of the party came from over half a million of voters.
“This is the message to our friends from other political parties who dream of MRF’s isolation,” the party official remarked.
Over 50 MRF mayor candidates were presented in the frames of Saturday’s event.
