“Liberalisation of the energy market is one of the major priorities of the Bulgarian government in the energy sector,” Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said speaking at a working meeting dedicated to the activity of the Bulgarian Energy Exchange.

“This event is dedicated to a highly important process, a highly important road that we have to follow towards the complete liberalisation of the energy market in Bulgaria.

I would like to stress that with today’s working meeting the Ministry of Energy, the Bulgarian Energy Holding and the Bulgarian Energy Exchange set the start of a series of events where all interested parties will have the chance to express their position so as to realise the energy market liberalisation in the best possible way,” Minister Petkova remarked.

In her words, the liberalisation of the energy market will set a completely different and improved situation.

“The relations in the sector will be regulated entirely and solely by the market. The electricity price will be determined by the market, it will be a fair price.
