Albanian President Bujar Nishani is expected to pay an official to Bulgaria on October 6-7, 2015 at the invitation of Bulgarian counterpart Rosen Plevneliev, the press centre of the President’s Office announced.

Both Presidents are expected to hold talks on the Bulgarian-Albanian partnership in Southeast Europe, promotion of bilateral trade, economic, and cultural cooperation, the process of European integration of Western Balkans countries, and increased migration pressure on Europe.

The Albanian President will be officially welcomed at a ceremony in front of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in the capital Sofia on Tuesday, October 6.

Bujar Nishani will lay a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.

Later, the two Presidents will meet at the President’s Office and then attend the plenary talks of the Bulgarian and Albanian official delegations.

Presidents Plevneliev and Nishani will hold a joint press conference afterwards.

In the frames of his visit to Bulgaria, the Albanian head of state will meet with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Tsetska Tsacheva, Chairperson of the National Assembly.

Presidents Plevneliev and Nishani will open a Bulgarian-Albanian business forum at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) on Wednesday, October 7.
