Meglena Kuneva: Bulgaria to make Schengen more stable

The Schengen area will become even more stable with Bulgaria’s and Romania’s accession to the area, said Bulgarian Deputy Premier Meglena Kuneva taking a question as to when is Bulgaria expected to receive an invitation to join in.

Mrs. Kuneva explained that Bulgaria is ready technically to join the zone.

“I also expect our partners to take the decisive step”, the Deputy Premier further added. She also said that before the migrant crisis, most countries were in favor of the enlargement of the Schengen zone, but that there are more reasons for concern lately.
