Bulgaria’s support for Albania’s EU perspective is consistent: Premier Borissov

Bulgaria’s support for Albania’s EU perspective and the European perspective of other countries from the Western Balkans has been consistent and active, Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov pointed out during his meeting in the Ministerial Council building with Albania’s President Bujar Nishani. In Premier Borissov’s view, the traditionally strong bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Albania and the excellent political contacts laid a firm foundation for encouraging of the trade and economic cooperation between these countries. Bulgaria and Albania have the potential to cooperate in a series of economic spheres such as infrastructure, construction, power engineering and tourism. The businesses in Bulgaria and Albania could also enhance their cooperation. The East-West Transport Corridor No 8 and the Railway line between Sofia, Skopje and Tirana were given as examples of successful cooperation between the two countries.
