Bulgaria to provide data on travelers to the USA

Bulgaria is going to provide data for those, who travel to the USA, the MPs decided by ratifying the treaty between both states. The information will include travelling data and biographic data from the passport. The US Department of Homeland Security will hand over the software to the National Booking Data Dept. The data exchange aims at fighting terrorism. The socialist party reminded that the Court of the EU had recently suspended a similar treaty with the reason that the US law didn’t provide enough protection for the Europeans’ personal data. According to General Atanas Atanasov from the Reformist Bloc however those concerns have no ground. “Thus we will use the huge US database for the fight with terrorism,” he went on to say.
