Christmas allowances for Bulgarian pensioners to be known in November: social minister
“In the beginning of November I will officially announce whether there will be Christmas allowances for the pensioners and what their size will be,” Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for Demographic and Social Policies and Minister of Labour and Social Policy Ivaylo Kalfin said speaking in an interview with Nova TV.
The social minister pointed out that the Christmas bonuses depended on the good implementation of the state budget.
“I will repeat – I hope that there will be such allowances. The position of the government is positive, too but we should examine the state of the budget before making any calculations.
We are aware of the situation around the budget but many payments connected with the finalisation of European projects are due,” Mr Kalfin explained.
