Greek farmers have been exporting fruit and vegetables to Bulgaria without the required documents and have not been paying taxes, Ministry of Finance inspectors told the media.

This kind of illicit trade has been going on with other countries, but most of all with Bulgaria. An investigation is ongoing. The Greek Finance Ministry is putting in place urgent measures to stop the contraband which is detrimental to the budget and leads to higher legal trade prices  on the domestic market.
