Bulgaria’s Armed Forces to employ 1,200 new officers

Currently there are 1,200 available job positions for officers in Bulgaria’s Armed Forces and we are to launch competitions at the beginning of 2016, in order to fill these positions, Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Nikolay Nenchev announced. If necessary, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Defense is ready to send more military men on Bulgaria’s border, due to the increased refugee flow. Currently 112 soldiers are assisting the Bulgarian Border Police there. With regard to the military actions in Syria, Minister Nenchev said that Bulgaria was expecting from Russia to coordinate better with its NATO partners, as well as with other countries which take part in that conflict, in order to avoid future bloodshed.
