Cheaper electricity for big power plants is postponed
Big industrial producers of electricity are not able to benefit from the relief that they had to receive in the form of a green energy component in the Public Service Obligation fee, the Bulgarian Federation of the Industrial Energy Consumers (BFIEC) and the Bulgarian Association of the Metallurgical Industry (BAMI) reported. In a letter to the ministers of finance and energy, they insist on speeding up the notification of the Ordinance on reducing the burden related to expenses from RES. According to initial reports, the ordinance had to come into force by 6 September at the latest. The preparation of the ordinance was foreseen in amendments to the Energy Act in early March 2015. The issue became even more topical after the increase in the Public Service Obligation Fee for businesses on 1 August.
