“Sofia Inspectorate has registered over 4,000 cases of electoral violations,” said Engineer Veska Georgieva, head of the Inspectorate in the capital Sofia, speaking for FOCUS News Agency.
 

She explained the municipal electoral commissions and the Sofia electoral commission in particular could make decisions on the violations in the frames of the election campaign.
 

“After this period expires as well as the 7-day period, the Sofia Inspectorate can issue statements of offence if the parties, coalitions, and initiative committees do not remove the election campaign posters they stuck in different places from the urban environment in the 7-day period [this is due to be done in],” Engineer Georgieva remarked.
 

According to her, gluing election campaign posters in banned places is on the rise in Sofia and these cases have grown by about 1,000 in the past week.
