2015 – toughest for Bulgarian tourism as of 10 years

The Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Tourist Agents declared that 2015 has been so far the heaviest year for Bulgarian tourism as of a decade. There was a 9 percent drop over the first 8 months of the year due to the decreased number of Russian and Ukrainian tourists. At the same time the European markets didn’t see any significant decline. The forthcoming winter tourist season is expected to be good, mainly with tourists from Great Britain, Russia and Turkey.
