For the first time we do not see an intense election campaign in big municipalities

“For the first time we do not see an intense election campaign at national level or in major municipalities.” That is what mathematician and political analyst Professor Mihail Konstantinov, said on the occasion of the forthcoming local elections and the possible results. “It's a little early to answer why this is so. There are various hypotheses. One of them is that money is directed to another side of the election campaign,” Prof. Konstantinov said. According to him, the campaign can be described as inert.

“The election campaign is not very intense in Sofia and big cities, despite in the smaller settlements where there is still a kind of election campaign,” he said.

“Local elections are not a field for clash of ideas. There aren’t so many different ideas, anyway,” he said.
