Greek president receives Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov

At an Athens-held meeting with Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov said the bilateral relations were “traditionally particularly good”. He also pointed at the options for expansion of the Sofia-Athens connections within this dynamic geopolitical situation, where both states should share common stances. As far as the refugee wave issue was concerned, the Greek president said he was sure that both Athens and Sofia had the same humane attitude towards people, fleeing a war. According to Pavlopoulos the two countries should cooperate in terms of diplomacy for the ceasing of the Syrian conflict. The Bulgarian first diplomat had also a meeting with his counterpart Nikos Kotzias and they both discussed the regional security and the bilateral energy projects.
