Revenues from gambling increase with 55% in 2015

The revenues from gambling collected by the state budget in 2015 saw a 55% increase on last year’s, Bulgaria’s State Commission on Gambling informs. In September 2015, the revenues amounted to EUR 36 million, whereas in September 2014 they were to the tune of nearly EUR 23 million. The increase is due to the amendments to the Gambling Act which came into effect on January 1, 2015. According to the new regulation, the state levies a 15% tax on all bets made in Bulgaria.
