Conservative GERB party of Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has mustered around 34.5% of the vote nationally, in the national election held on Sunday, a Gallup exit poll shows.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), the main opposition force, comes second with 17.2% of ballots, followed by the liberal Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) party, at 14.6%

Following are right-wing Reformist Bloc (RB) at 9.0%, and President (2002-2012) Georgi Parvanov's ABV party has collected 4.3%.

Support for nationalist parties Ataka, NFSB and VMRO (the latter two being part of the Patriotic Front coalition that backs the minority government) is at 3.1%, 2.7%, and 2.5%, respectively.

Official results are not to be expected until later on Sunday or Monday.
