Bulgaria to defend firm stances at Brussels-held emergency summit on migration

PM Boyko Borissov said that during his participation in the today-summoned emergency meeting of the leaders of 10 European countries, situated along the Balkan route of the refugees, he would defend firm stances, regarding the migration crisis. Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania and also Germany and Austria have all been invited to attend the event. On Saturday the premiers of Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia agreed in Sofia to voice their joint stance to the forum, saying that their countries won’t be a buffer zone for refugees and also that if the West closes its borders for them, they will do the same. Commenting the statement of Dutch PM Mark Rutte that the West has invested a lot into East Europe and it isn’t stopping the migration flow now, Borissov said that Bulgaria has also invested a lot into its EU accession, meeting environmental criteria and stopping chemical plants, thermal power plants and 4 out of the 6 Kozloduy NPP’s units, all profitable.
