Bulgaria does not agree to draw loans for coping with migrant wave

At a press conference in Brussels, where he attended a meeting called by the EC to tackle the migration crisis, Bulgarian Premier Boyko Borissov voiced his categorical disagreement with the idea for taking a loan from international financial institutions for coping with the migrant wave. The suggestion of the European Commission for putting under control the migrant wave contains a point, according to which international financial institutions should provide means for ensuring shelter for the candidates for EU sojourn statute. The worry of Bulgaria’s Prime Minister is that such a move would entail an increase of debt and deficit and that within a year’s time we would again be facing a financial crisis. “I have always opted for strict observing of the Maastricht criteria”, Premier Borissov pointed out.
