Hackers raid public institutions websites during run-offs too

Hackers have blocked the websites of key institutions. Access is denied to the websites of the National Assembly, the State Agency for National Security, the National Revenue Agency etc. Websites of some media outlets have been blocked as well. The Spokesman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Tsvetozar Tomov confirmed about a hacker attack on the CEC website but unlike last Sunday when the first round of local elections plus a referendum on electronic voting were held, the website is not fully blocked and operates in some of its sections. Talking to the Bulgarian National Radio Tsvetozar Tomov forecast a rising interest in the run-offs in the hours to come.
