The traditional Winter campaign begins today across Bulgaria. It will continue till the end of November. Traffic police are going to check the preparedness of cars for winter traffic. The campaign includes checks of tires, lights and windshield wipers. Traffic Police said earlier this week that amendments were being drafted to the Road Traffic Act aimed to make winter tires mandatory. Last year’s Winter campaign saw checks of 30,000 vehicles and 3000 fined drivers.
