Bulgaria and Italy coordinate positions on European hot issues
The Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria and Italy Daniel Mitov and Foreign Minister Paolo Gentriloni discussed in Sofia the migration flow towards the EU, the need of differentiation between economic migrants and refugees as well as bilateral relations and energy security in Europe. Furthermore, the two countries coordinated their positions on the hot issues on the European agenda, with an accent on the forthcoming meeting on migration to take place in the capital of Malta – La Valetta. The sides also tackled the crisis in Libya in the context of the common interest in stabilization of the situation in that country and the opening of perspectives for peaceful and successful development there. Other subjects Ministers Mitov and Gentiloni considered were EU enlargement, the situation in the Western Balkans, Ukraine and the relations between the EU and Russia.
