Bulgarian Policemen protest for second consecutive day

Bulgarian Police officers, warders and military men protested for the second consecutive day against the plans of the cabinet to cut their social gains. Policemen blocked the Sofia city center for several hours and booed at MPs in front of the country’s National Assembly. Protests were also held in other Bulgarian cities. After the meeting with the leaders of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior the Syndicate of the Interior Ministry Employees announced that despite the partial compromise made by the Bulgarian cabinet, the Bulgarian policemen and warders are to organize a national protest on November 8. The national labor organizations expressed their deep concern of the protests carried out by the Interior Ministry employees.
