Ongoing active work on gas interconnectors

A road map of the activities was developed in the beginning of 2015 with the purpose of acceleration of the gas interconnector project with Greece, envisaging its completion by end-2016. We are actively negotiating on both the state and corporate level, Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova stated. In her words, a new company is currently being selected for the interconnector with Romania for the under-Danube segment. The interconnector with Turkey is funded by EUR 49 mln., Petkova said, with 2018 being the deadline. The project has been determined by the EC as a significant one and it has received EUR 198 mln. in EU funding.
