Bulgaria to consult Cuba on restructuring of state companies

Bulgarian experts are to consult Cuba in the process of restructuring of its state companies. It became clear during the meeting between Bulgaria’s Minister of Economy Bozhidar Loukarsky and the Deputy Chairperson of the Cuban Council of Ministers and Minister of Economy Marino Murillo within the frameworks of the visit of the Bulgarian delegation to Cuba, the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy announced. Minister Murillo introduced his Bulgarian counterpart to the project for revision of the economic model in Cuba and the program of the Cuban cabinet regarding future reforms in that country. The reform envisages the restructuring of the state-owned firms and higher independence of the private sector in Cuba. Minister Bozhidar Loukarsky presented his country’s experience in the privatization of the state companies and showed willingness to provide expert assistance to Cuba in the process of restructuring of its economy.
