MP Vigenin in Belgrade: We need strong, active and confident Europe

“The good times are behind us. The EU is forced to tackle a series of overlapping crises since 2008 until now. The last crisis – the one with the refugees, led us to a point where we should either face the challenge and conquer a victory together or we will collapse,” said Kristian Vigenin, MP with the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), in his closing statement at the Balkan conference organised by the Party of European Socialists (PES) in Belgrade, the press office of the party announced.

“The EU will survive but this is hardly likely for the current European political smart set. It is a huge mistake to look for national solutions in hard times. The global challenges require global solidarity,” the MP said further.
