Bulgaria to work for finding joint European solution to migration issue

Problems associated with the unprecedented migration pressure on European borders were the focus of talks that Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev held in the German city of Hamburg. During his meetings with representatives of the government and parliament of the federal state the Bulgarian Head of State recalled that this country was among the first hit by the wave of migration that started in 2013. Bulgaria is also one of the few countries that follows the rules and registers all refugees entering our territory, the president said and added that Bulgaria would continue to work for finding a common European solution to the problem. President Plevneliev said the only way for Europe to cope with the current crisis was following common rules, valid to all members, as well as shared responsibility and pro-European policy.
