One Bulgarian Reportedly Killed in Paris Attacks

One Bulgarian citizen was reportedly killed in one of the multiple attacks, which claimed the lives of at least 128 people and left more than 180 people injured in Paris on Friday night.

The 37-year-old Sebastian, who has a dual citizenship – Bulgarian and French, was killed in the attack on the Le Petit Cambodge restaurant. The news of his death was announced by a relative of Sebastian on private bTV station.

Sebastian had been in the restaurant with a couple of friends, but at the time of the attack he was on his own as they had gone outside for fresh air. Le Petit Cambodge was one of the six locations targeted by the eight attackers, who were armed with suicide belts and machine guns. Another three bars and restaurants, namely La Belle Equipe, Le Carillon and La Casa Nostra, were also targeted.

The deadliest attack occurred at the Bataclan concert hall, where many people had been held hostages before security forces stormed the building. The sixth attack took place outside the Stade de France stadium where a friendly football match between France and Germany was being held. According to the relative of Sebastian, the Bulgarian authorities have not provided any information on him. Earlier on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry had no information on any Bulgarian citizens killed or injured in the attacks.
