Bulgaria alleviates work permit regime for foreigners

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Economy announced that the authorities are planning to make legislative amendments aimed at alleviating the issuance of permits for long term residence of foreign experts in Bulgaria with the so-called blue card. The purpose of the idea is to speed up the issue of permits of highly qualified foreigners from non-EU countries. The measure refers to experts whose shortage in Bulgaria is obvious, especially in the IT and the machine-building spheres.
