Bulgaria’s Minister of Justice Hristo Ivanov meets with Dutch counterpart Klaas Dijhoff

Justice Minister Hristo Ivanov met with the State Secretary of Security and Justice and Minister for Immigration of the Netherlands Klaas Dijhoff. One of the topics during the discussion regarded the forthcoming Dutch Presidency of the EU, which is to start in January, 2016, as well as the priorities related to this presidency. The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Sofia Tom van Oorschot also attended the meeting. The counterparts also discussed the measures of the EU member states related to the recent terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13, as well as topics of the forthcoming extraordinary Council on Justice and Homeland Affairs. Minister Ivanov assured Klaas Dijhoff that being an external border of the EU Bulgaria would work together with the other member states to boost security along the union’s external borders.
