Bavarian interior minister: I thank Bulgaria for its efforts to protect EU’s external border

“I would like to thank for the efforts Bulgaria makes to protect Europe’s external borders and security,” said Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann speaking at a meeting with Tsvetan Tsvetanov, chairperson of the parliamentary group of the mandate-holder Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB), the press office of the CEDB party announced.

Mr Tsvetanov and Mr Herrmann met in the frames of the congress of the German Christian Social Union party.

The two discuss the recent processes in Europe and the world, as well as the terrorist attacks in Paris and Mali, and the attack against a Russian aeroplane.

For yet another time Minister Herrmann evaluated highly Tsvetan Tsvetanov’s work as interior minister [during the previous mandate of the CEDB] and thanked for the joint work between the Bulgarian and the Bavarian services.

Mr Herrmann added that he would visit Bulgaria in December, together with Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer and then in January for the signing of a memorandum on police cooperation.
