“We are talking about the resignation of [Bulgarian President] Rosen Plevneliev, not about impeachment,” said Rumen Petkov, Deputy Chairperson of the Alternative for Bulgarian Revival (ABV) party, speaking Monday for bTV.

Petkov was explicit the ABV firmly thought Plevneliev should hand in his resignation.

“You have to agree it is not normal Rosen Plevneliev said [implied] Russia had attacked his website [the President’s Office website] and the website of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) in case [there were] some 130 dead bodies [after the Paris terror attacks]. We are talking about a necessary resignation, not about impeachment,” the ABV politician noted.

According to him, the Head of State’s “inadequacy” brings no positive things to Bulgaria’s relations with Europe, the USA, and Russia.
