“Risks for Bulgaria derive from the possibility of escalation of the conflict and the possible refugee inflow in Bulgaria. This is what NATO said, too, and this is what the official position should be – to look for de-escalation of the conflict and a contact between the two countries,” said Nadezhda Neynsky, Bulgarian Ambassador to Turkey, speaking for bTV, commenting on the Russian aircraft taken down by Turkey.

“I will remind you that the violation of the airspace of turkey and NATO happened several times already,” Ms Neynski remarked.

“The issue should be divided into two aspects. One of them is the violation of the border area, of both Turkey and NATO. The second one is whether the Turkmens have terrorist cores and groups,” the expert said further.

In her words, these issues should be cleared out within a constructive dialogue.
