“There is no direct threat for Bulgaria because of the Moscow-Ankara conflict,” said Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for Coalition Policy and Public Administration and Minister of Interior Rumiana Bachvarova, speaking in an interview with bTV.

“A new complication emerges in a region, where the situation is already very complicated and which is constantly generating refugee flows,” Ms Bachvarova remarked.

She commented further that the experts were still arguing over the details around the incident.

“We consider this an incident and a problem in the relations between the two countries and on this level it may find a solution in the fastest and most troubleless way,” the Bulgarian minister commented further.

Ms Bachvarova added that the best was done to guarantee the security along the Bulgarian border and to handle the refugee flow.

She yet again stressed that there was a serious decrease of the refugee pressure on Bulgaria.
