“Christmas meal expenses this year will be equal to last year’s expenses,” said Vladimir Ivanov, Chairperson of Bulgaria’s Commodity Exchange and Wholesale Markets State Commission, speaking for Radio FOCUS on Monday.
He commented the prices of main products remained stable.
“It is nice the market is stable and does not change. There is some good news – the price of vegetable oil had started to up at the world commodity exchanges, it was some EUR 1,000 in Rotterdam but a serious drop has been seen in the past 2 weeks by about EUR 200, which means nothing [surprising] can be expected about this product. It will preserve its price at a stable level,” the expert noted.
In his words, the main food products in the consumer basket, such as flour, milk, and meat, have stable prices.
