Chief Mufti meets EC Vice-President Kristalina Georgieva

“We have a good example in Bulgaria, which we should present to the world. This is the peaceful living together of Christians, Muslims and Jews”, said Chief Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadji while meeting European Commission Vice-President Kristalina Georgieva in Brussels. The Chief Mufti added that religions are meant to make people closer and not divide them. They are not a goal in themselves, but a means to help people get to know each other. Kristalina Georgieva said in her turn that Bulgaria is a good example for peaceful coexistence of people of different religion and that the participation of our religious leaders in various international forums is of special importance for popularizing this positive example.
