Over 40% of Bulgarians shop online at least once a month

More than 40 percent of people in Bulgaria shop at least once a month on the Internet. Men most often buy technology items, while women buy clothing and footwear. Consumers prefer to buy from Bulgarian web sites. The opportunity for free shipping is considered one of the most attractive ones. According to 63 percent of the polled, free delivery is a must for a site, as well as the wide variety of products offered. There is a growth of the number of people shopping online while traveling to work, statistics showed. The average costs of an online purchase in Bulgaria is about 36-37 euros. Each year this value decreases, which means that more and more people are making frequent but small buys over the Internet.
