300-tonne pusher reportedly sinks in Danube off Silistra

A 300-tonne pusher has sunk in the River Danube in close proximity of the cargo port at Silistra. Along with the sunken ship there is another vessel with the same parameters and three cargo sections which have gone unscathed in the accident. In the area of the sunken pusher a small spill is reported that specialists claim comes from residual oil fuel. It is supposed that the vessels have no fuel. A team from Civil Protection in the city of Rousse has been sent over to clean the spills. Harbor workers have said that the ships were anchored in the area about 3 months ago and have not been usedever since. In data from the shipping administration the ships are the property of a Bulgarian company.
