Slovakia’s president visits Bulgaria

President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska is on a visit to Bulgaria, following the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart Rosen Plevneliev. After the talks with his guest Mr. Plevneliev announced that both countries share a common stance for the necessity of a European Energy Union and they also have a joint priority for diversification of the sources and routes for natural gas supplies. President Kiska assessed highly the position of Sofia that the Dublin Treaty should be complied with and expressed his support for Bulgaria’s will to join the Schengen space for free movement of people. The necessity of efforts for coping with the root causes for migration and also of EU common migration policy was pointed out in a conversation of the guest with PM Boyko Borissov.
