10 dead as explosion rocks central Istanbul square

 Sofia. At least ten people are dead and more are wounded after an explosion rocked Sultanahmet Square on Tuesday morning in the heart of Istanbul, the biggest city in Turkey, the JewishPress reported.
Officials believe the explosion may have been caused by a suicide bomber, according to numerous reports.
The blast took place in a location not far from the famed Blue Mosque in the ancient city, which rests on two continents, Europe and Asia.
Some of the numerous wounded were being evacuated to the Haseki Research and Training Hospital.
Police and ambulances immediately converged on the site. One eyewitness told news reporters the explosion was instantaneous, like “a ball of flame.”
